A NIGHT ON BOURBON STREET

Good evening folks!

I attended and modeled for a fashion showcase at a networking mixer, "A Night on Bourbon Street" this past Sunday. I had the chance to jazz things up a bit. Of course I was instantly inspired by the theme and sparkling sequin dress provided to me by IKANDY FASHION & ACCESSORIESWhich encouraged me to have a little fun by stepping into character mode.

New Orleans is well known as the birth place of jazz music and I've always been a vintage fanatic. I can watch black/white (Turner Classic movie channel) movies all day and I have a super obsession for retro trends. Yes, all facts! Maybe now you can understand the dramatics behind my attire just a little bit better now. I decided to channel a 1920's "Flapper" look by highlighting my outfit with a perfect balance of accessories to modernize this elegant, edgy all in one look.

Women's liberation ruled this era and was in fact a major kick start to the beginning of a free-spirited fashion evolution of changing times ahead. Flappers symbolized physical freedom for women to express themselves, unlike their elders restricted form of fashion style. Their unconventional demeanor was making a bold statement through their physical showcasing.
